Camping with the Wards

This year Jesse and I had some Motorhome problem on our way up to Stanley. We had planned and got everything all ready to head up there the night before. We were ready to just get up and leave town so we could make it up there at a good time. But of course it didn't work out that way. We started out about 11:00 and between Pocky and Blackfoot it all started. The Motorhome was kinda hesitating and acted like it wasn't getting any gas. So we made it to Blackfoot, stopped by my Dad's office and he looked at it. Said we needed to change the fuel filter. So we got one and Jesse changed it out. We started out again. Heading into the the Arco desert it started doing it again. So we figured we had just let the gas get to low and had sucked all the crap off the bottom of the tank and kept clogging the fuel filter. So we headed back into Blackfoot and picked up like 4 more fuel filters so we could keep changing them. We headed back out into the Arco desert and by this time it is like 3:00. We got about 20 miles out of Arco and it started again. So we pulled off one last time. Jesse figured that there had to be another fuel filter that was getting clogged. So he got out and went all the way around the Motorhome. As he was under there he realized that he traced the gas line wrong and that he had been putting the stupid filters on backwards. So he gets back under there a last time. When he pulls this filter off he tips it the wrong way and gas ran out and hit him between the eyes. He starts yelling at me to get him some water and paper towels. I knew instantly what he had done. I ran to the fridge and gave him some water. So we are standing out on the side of the road in the Arco Desert flushing Jesse's eyes out. When he finished he looked up at me (at this point it took all I had not to bust out laughing, and he could tell just by the look on my face) his eyes where bright red, and he said 'Your trying not to laugh...huh.' And at this point I lost it. I know it was mean but I couldn't help it.

Well after that he got the fuel filter on the right way and we were cruzin right along. And at this point we only had another 3 hours to go. So our 4 hour trip to Stanley turned out to be like 9 hours. We didn't get there until like 7:30 and of course right as we pulled in to get set up.... It's started raining. Go figure!
